Eight College Basketball Teams Ready for Fort Myers Tip-Off Tournament This November

The Fort Myers Tip-Off basketball tournament hits the court from Nov. 24-27 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena. Ticket sales started Sept. 17 for this four-day competition in Florida.

Eight teams, split into two brackets, will compete. The Beach Division pits powerhouse programs Michigan State and North Carolina against St. Bonaventure and East Carolina. Bowling Green, Bucknell, Buffalo, and VMI make up the Palms Division.

Beach Division matchups start Nov. 25. Michigan State clashes with East Carolina at 1 p.m. EST. That evening at 6 p.m. EST, North Carolina meets St. Bonaventure on the hardwood. The final day sees St. Bonaventure taking on East Carolina at noon. A blockbuster battle between North Carolina and Michigan State caps things off at 4:30 p.m.

The Palms Division starts a day earlier on Nov. 24. Bucknell faces off against Bowling Green at noon. VMI and Buffalo hit the court at 2:30 p.m. Next day's action features VMI versus Bowling Green at 11 a.m., with Bucknell and Buffalo tipping off at 1:30 p.m.

This tournament has become a must-watch event in early-season college hoops. Top basketball programs and their devoted supporters flock to Southwest Florida as November winds down.
