Mini golf meets island fun as the Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club prepares its 14th Annual Putt & Pub fundraiser. Set for Jan. 17, 2026, the event now spans 12 locations, turning beach bars and eateries into a unique course.
With backing from the King Family Foundation, organizers expect 400 players to hit the greens. Teams of four will wind through the island, stopping for drinks and prize chances. The expanded format marks a big step up from past years.
"We will be creating designated routes for each team so that play runs smooth and keeps moving along," Dawn Thomas, co-chair of the event, said per Beach Talk Radio News.
"We are proud to be able to support this event once again," said Alex King of The King Family Foundation. "For over 60 years, the King family has made Fort Myers Beach our home. Even after Hurricane Ian, we remain committed to supporting the island's recovery."
Each hole is operated by a different local nonprofit, including Lions Club, Friends of the Library, Friends of Lovers Key, Friends of the Mound House, Fort Myers Beach Art Association, FMB Strong, Beach Kids, Women of Irish Heritage SW Florida, FMB Chamber of Commerce, Sanibel School Seahorse Choral, Community Foundation, and the PTO.
Players will putt their way through an island-wide course to locations at Wahoo Willie's, La Ola, Snug Harbor, Nervous Nellie's, Margaritaville, Tiki Bar at The Lighthouse, Petey's Upper Deck, Yucatan, S.O.B., The Whale, Beach Bar, and Mr. Waves.
When the sun sets, Margaritaville's Sunset Terrace hosts the final awards.
