Bill Nero Automotive Group purchased two Fort Myers sites from Galeana Auto Group. The Sept. 25, 2025, purchase brought both the Kia and Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram-Fiat sites under new ownership.
The main site at 14483 South Tamiami Trail cost $33.74 million. A second spot at 14375 South Tamiami Trail came along in the deal for just $10 on paper.
"Florida remains 'on fire' in terms of demand for dealerships from groups looking to expand, and the Carolinas are also highly desirable. These areas are enjoying high population growth and are business-friendly, allowing dealerships to generate outsized profits," said Alan Haig, president at Haig Partners, according to News-Press.
Starting in Detroit with Van Dyke Dodge, Frank Galeana Sr. built his company over four decades. Before he died in 2010, the business grew to seven sites across Michigan, Florida, and South Carolina.
Van Dyke Dodge Ram stays with the family in Michigan. Their South Carolina site changed hands this July.
