After three years, Green Cup Cafe plans its return to downtown Fort Myers this October. Moving into 2400 First St., the cafe now fills twice its former space, marking a fresh start since Hurricane Ian forced its closure in 2022.

"Just look forward to Green Cup being back, man," owner Robert Podgorski said, according to Fox 4. "I think that's the thing we're so excited about, the community's excited about, I know my employees are excited about — to just pick up where we left off, to continue our mission, to provide for downtown in a way that downtown and the community provided for us."

While keeping old favorites, they've added new options, like cold-pressed juices and new tea blends.

Back in 2022, flood waters tore through both the shop and Podgorski's house. The storm left nothing of the original cafe, which had served customers since 2014.
