The 21st Annual Capital Wealth Advisors Turkey Drop kicked off on Nov. 17, 2025. Volunteers packed 9,000 turkeys and Thanksgiving meals for families who need help across Southwest Florida. The program plans to feed around 8,200 people through St. Matthew's House.
More than 200 employees, family members, and other volunteers gathered at First Naples Church to pack food boxes. The church hosted the kickoff event.
St. Matthew's House will distribute the meals to people and families experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. The nonprofit has served the local area for years.
Volunteer George Wilson said participating has become a family tradition. "And that's exactly what we're doing is giving to the community," Wilson said, according to Fox 4 Now. "And it's interesting too because when you live in Southwest Florida, there's so much wealth here you become a little bit oblivious to the people that are needy, and this really brings home that we have actually more than 6,000 that would go without a dinner but for us."
The 9,000 turkeys would mark a record. Each box includes all the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving dinner.
Since it started 21 years ago, the Turkey Drop has distributed more than 30,000 turkeys to families who need them.
Families can pick up meals through Nov. 25 at seven locations across Southwest Florida. The main distribution event will happen at First Naples Church on Nov. 22.
