Florida Gulf Coast University Athletics revealed five inductees for its 2026 Hall of Fame class on Tuesday. The honorees are men's basketball player Ryan Hopkins, two-sport athlete Chelsea Lyles, swimmer Emma Svensson, men's tennis player Jordi Vives, and softball player Chelsea Zgrabik.
Hopkins was the second signee in program history. He sits first in 3-pointers, third in scoring with 1,367 points, and second in points per game at 15.5. From 2002 to 2005, he won team Most Valuable Player honors twice. Hopkins walked away with a degree in Criminal Justice and now works as a Title Abstractor for Kastner Land Services.
Chelsea Lyles earned All-ASUN First Team honors in basketball during 2009 and 2010. She tops the charts in minutes per game at 30.5 and sits sixth in scoring average at 13.5. In 2010, she also played volleyball, where she led the squad with 66 blocks, 205 kills, and a hitting percentage of .301.
After graduation, Lyles spent 15 years on the coaching staff. She served as head coach in 2024-25, guiding the team to ASUN regular season and tournament championships, plus a 26-game winning streak. She earned ASUN Coach of the Year honors. Now she works as an Assistant Coach for the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA.
Emma Svensson became the first NCAA Championship qualifier in 2012. She earned All-America honors in 2014 and 2015, then was named CCSA Most Outstanding Swimmer in 2015. Svensson won 10 CCSA individual events and seven relay events. She graduated with a degree in Economics and works as an actuary for Humana.
Jordi Vives earned ASUN Player of the Year honors in 2014 and 2015. He holds career records for total wins with 125, singles wins with 77, and doubles wins with 48. Vives graduated with a degree in Resort and Hospitality Management and works for Head Raquet Company.
Chelsea Zgrabik was the 2013 ASUN Player of the Year and a three-time NFCA All-Region selection. Her 42 career home runs and 153 RBI both rank first in the Division I era. She threw out 16 of 24 potential base-stealers and holds the career record for pickoffs with seven. Zgrabik graduated in 2014 with a degree in Psychology and works as a registered nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
The induction ceremony is on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at The Boardwalk waterfront restaurant in North Lake Village on campus. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The program kicks off at 10:15 a.m., and tickets run $75 per person.
