Breeze Airways kicked off nonstop flights from Albany International Airport to Fort Myers on Dec. 3, 2025. This seasonal route marks the third location the carrier serves from this airport. Flights depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

"Travel demand at ALB has never been stronger, and new routes like Fort Myers help ensure we are keeping pace with what travelers want," said Samuel Fresina, Chair of the Albany County Airport Authority Board, according to NEWS10.

The airline now offers trips to Charleston, Raleigh-Durham, and Fort Myers. Breeze also takes passengers to Orlando with a no-change stop in Raleigh-Durham along the way.

Right now, Breeze is the only airline offering direct trips between these two cities. Southwest will begin its own direct flights in February.

Breeze first arrived in the Capital Region in June 2025. The company started in 2021 and has grown to serve more than 80 cities across the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Allegiant announced new direct service to Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport starting in February. The airport is undergoing major upgrades, which include a terminal expansion, a renovation of concourse A, and two future gates.

Travelers can book flights using the Breeze website or app. More information about flights and a full list of nonstop spots is available on the Albany airport website.
