Ten top-ranked high school basketball programs will compete in Fort Myers starting Thursday. The City of Palms Classic runs six days and features 16 squads. Wheeler sits at No. 1, while Paul VI claims the second spot.

Wheeler hasn't lost yet. The Wildcats crushed Walton 83-49 and now carry a 7-0 mark into Friday's showdown with Bishop McNamara.

Paul VI climbed two spots after last week's mixed results. They knocked off Archbishop Stepinac 66-56, then beat Archbishop Spalding 75-62. But Prolific Prep handed them a 76-72 defeat in double overtime. Senior Jordan Smith was on fire against Spalding, with 30 points, seven boards, six assists, and five steals.

Petersburg arrives unbeaten at 2-0. Four-star recruit Latrell Allmond, who signed with Oklahoma State, scored 31 points and snatched 13 rebounds when his team demolished Colonial Heights 86-34. Thursday brings Imhotep Charter as their first opponent.

Columbus hasn't played in 13 days. They'll shake off the rust on Thursday when they meet Principia. The Explorers sit at 6-1.

St. John Bosco keeps winning. Christian Collins dropped 30 points as the Braves downed La Mirada 62-51. That victory pushed their record to 8-0. Friday means a meetup with The Villages Charter.

Calvary Christian Academy stays perfect at 7-0 thanks to Cayden Daughtry, who scored 35 points, had seven assists, and grabbed five boards during a narrow 74-71 triumph over Stranahan. The Eagles square off against Owasso on Thursday.

Bartlett brings a 6-0 record. They face Long Island Lutheran on Friday.

The Villages Charter demolished South Lake 81-48. Air Force commit Ethan Bevis contributed 16 points. Owasso has steamrolled three in-state opponents by an average margin of 50 points after their season-opening 18-point win over Lufkin.
