Swig, the Utah-born brand credited with popularizing dirty sodas, is expanding into Florida with its first Fort Myers location scheduled to open early next year. The shop will be located at 13401 Summerlin Road, Suite 1. It will introduce Southwest Florida customers to the brand's signature drive-thru-focused soda experience built around customization and daily ritual-style visits.

The Fort Myers location will span approximately 1,200 square feet and marks Swig's fourth Florida storefront. The brand has already opened locations in Bradenton, Clermont, and Lutz, and additional expansion is planned with a future Cape Coral shop slated for 1121 Solaris Drive, signaling a growing statewide footprint.

Swig gained national attention in recent years through a Hulu reality series that highlighted Utah-based influencers and their frequent drive-thru stops for oversized, highly customized sodas. Those appearances helped push dirty sodas into viral popularity, turning a regional beverage trend into a nationally recognized concept centered on personalization and repeat visits.

“Customers are flocking to get their fix of flavored soda blends topped with creams, fruit, and syrups,” said Tom Strauss, principal of LQ Commercial Fort Myers, which represented Swig in securing the Fort Myers location. “This overwhelming response proves one thing: Southwest Florida is ready for a full-scale dirty soda experience, and Swig, the brand that started it all, saw the opportunity to fill that gap.”

Swig's menu allows customers to customize nearly every element of their drink, including sweetness level, ice amount, flavor combinations, and add-ins. Dirty sodas typically start with a base soda and are mixed with flavored syrups, fruit purées, and cream or coconut cream, creating a caffeinated, dessert-like beverage with countless variations.

“Many people are turning to dirty sodas as their new way to get a caffeine boost, and Swig has made this an exciting experience,” said Jessica McEvoy, senior associate of LQ Commercial. “The brand's rise in popularity has mirrored the kind of growth Starbucks saw in its early years — it has become a cultural phenomenon, and Fort Myers is ready to join in.”
