Cape Coral Lee County Public Library will host more than 30 free programs in January 2026.
Adults can attend Download Drop-In sessions on Jan. 6 and 20 at 11 a.m. Staff will assist patrons with downloading eBooks, audiobooks, movies, and music from Libby/OverDrive and hoopla.
A Holocaust Pop-Up Museum from the Holocaust Museum and Cohen Education Center will run Jan. 22-29. Hours vary. The exhibit features 17 foam panels, artifact cases, and QR code stations with testimonies from local Holocaust survivors. Sol Awend, a second-generation Holocaust survivor, will share his parents' and stepfather's stories on Jan. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
Actress Sheryl Faye will perform "Ruth Bader Ginsburg: I Dissent" on Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. David Webb will lead a three-session series on Emily Dickinson's poetry starting Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. The class will cover 32 poems. Sessions meet Jan. 13, 20, and 27.
Children's programs include Baby Rhyme Time for infants through 18 months on Jan. 20 and 27 at 9:30 a.m. Preschool Storytime for ages 3-5 runs the same dates at 10:30 a.m. Family Storytime for ages 5 and under takes place Jan. 21 and 28 at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Kids ages 5-11 can make pressed flower art at Kids Craft Corner on Jan. 15 at 4 p.m. PreK STEAMfest on Jan. 15 at 10:30 a.m. offers hands-on learning stations. Ages 2-5 can participate.
Teen programs include Unlocked: Teen Life Skills on Jan. 8 at 2:30 p.m. Teen Book Nook meets Jan. 22 at 4:30 p.m. for book discussions and crafts.
Kids and teens can reduce overdue fines by reading during Read Down Fines sessions Jan. 10 and 17 from 1-2 p.m.
Other classes include watercolor painting on Jan. 10 and 29, beginner Spanish on Jan. 14, and a session on ocean and river cruising safety on Jan. 15. English Café conversation sessions for ESOL/ESL students meet throughout the month.
