The Fort Myers Community Concert Association kicks off its 76th season this January. Two concerts will happen at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. Orchestra Manhattan plays on Jan. 22. The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra follows on Jan. 29.
Orchestra Manhattan brings piano soloist Elisabeth Pion. The group consists of musicians from the New York-New Jersey area. During the 2024-25 season, they played Carnegie Hall under Conductor Gerard Schwartz.
The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra performs with American violinist Stella Chen, who claimed first place at the 2019 Queen Elizabeth International Violin Competition. She also received the 2020 Avery Fisher Career Grant and 2020 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award.
"We have two outstanding performances for us to begin the season, followed by three more in February and March. We are so happy to offer a full slate of concerts for our 2026 season," said Community Concert Association President Mary Lee Mann, per Fort Myers Beach Talk.
Barbara B. Mann founded the association in 1949. Her goal? Bring world-class entertainment to Southwest Florida at affordable prices. More than 1,200 members, underwriters, and sponsors now make up the group.
Orpheus Chamber Orchestra started in 1972. Within its first decade, Carnegie Hall became its home. Tours of Europe and Asia built the ensemble's reputation.
Past performers brought to Fort Myers by the association include the:
- Israel Ballet
- National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine
- The Boston Brass
- Violin Virtuoso Itzhak Perlman
- Cleveland Orchestra
- Vienna Boys Choir
- Pianist Andre Watts
- Violinist Joshua Bell with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields
Both January performances start at 7:30 p.m. at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall on the Florida SouthWestern State College campus in Fort Myers. Tickets remain available for the five-concert season and each individual performance.
Single concerts cost $55 for orchestra and mezzanine seats, $35 for lower balcony seats, and $25 for upper balcony seats. Tickets may be purchased at the box office at 239-481-4849 or at www.bbmannpah.com.
